Warning! Rant Ahead! Proceed at Your Own Risk!

What is it with teachers that have something against giving people a hundred on their assignment? I mean really! If you mark that someone has no corrections on their paper, is it really so hard to give them the points that you’re telling them they deserve? Does it have something to do with people’s egos? What’s so hard about giving someone two extra points?

100% vs. 98%

Now saying someone has a mistake on their paper, however small, that might warrant a point or two off. However if you give a paper back saying it’s great and not marking anything off at all, why take two points off at random.

I wouldn’t be so annoyed if it was only me and if it had only happened once, but no! When I talk to other people who have him in their class they say that they got essays back from him with no marks save one: 98/100. Why? Why torture poor semi hardworking college students this way? I worked hard on those essays!

It’s not so much the points that bother me, it’s just two points! But if you’re going to take something off I would like to know why. I would like to know what not to do on my next essay I hand in.

Ah well such is life!

Lets Try Again

•March 15, 2009 • Leave a Comment

So seeing as I may actually have something interesting to rant talk about now, I decided to give blogging another go-round. I can’t promise I’ll update regularly, but I will try!

I started at a local college recently (yes I am younger than college age but that’s a whole ‘nother post!) and have been extremely busy procrastinating working hard. Anyhow……

Forever apologizing!

I’m not gonna make any excuses. I’m terribly sorry for not posting lately! I’ve been kinda down and not feeling great that lately, so I didn’t feel like doing anything not even writing! Anyways I went to Phantom and it was AMAZING!!!!! I can’t even begin to say how awesome it was.

I’m going to be starting dance and music up again soon, so that’s pretty exciting. Honestly not much happens to me in the summer, but during the school year life gets fun again. Isn’t it usually the opposite? Dang homeschooling!

We just got a new youth pastor for Youth Group and I have a pretty good feeling about him. He’s getting married in just under a month and I really really like his fiance. He’s in his early twenties which makes it easier too.

I didn’t finish my Ravelympics project on time because I was lazy. However I am working on it now and it is going by pretty fast. I’ll post pics soon! I will hopefully post again soon, but till then Bye!

Now I am an HUGE fan of Phantom of the opera so naturally I was thrilled when my mom handed me an envelope and said “Happy Birthday”. Inside the envelope was a pair of tickets to see Phantom on Broadway! Yay! I will be going next Wednesday night. I can’t wait to see it! It’s going to be so good! I am going to bring my cousin since he loves it too. You all can be envious now!

Away Again

Ok all on Thursday I’m going to Vermont for the annual Stellafane Convention I’ve gone every year except 1 since I was born. It’s an astronomy convention. I’ll be there until Sunday (usually we stay till Monday, but…) Then straight from there I’m going to camp. Camp Gilgal adventure camp. We’re going to go surfing, sailing, and kayaking. I’ll be there for one week. AND I’ll be spending my 16th birthday (August 7th) there. I’m going to attempt to cast on for my ravelympics project there, but I’m not sure how that will go. I won’t have any access to internet anywhere. In fact in Vermont we camp. We have no running water and we’re lucky to have portapotties. I don’t mind though. I really like to camp. The first time I went camping I was 3 weeks old and my family goes AT LEAST 2-3 times a year. Anyways enough random ramblings. THis post is so disjointed it barely makes sense! I don’t know if I’m going to update again before I go so wish me luck and a good time! Buy All!

Alas for Branching Out!

•July 16, 2008 • 1 Comment

My beautiful Branching Out scarf I’ve been working on for awhile got lost in the mess a couple weeks back. Me being who I am forgot to mark where I was in the pattern. I picked it up and figured “oh well branching out tells you how many stitches you ought to have. I pick up my needles to count how many stitches I have and realize that the number of stitches on my needles does not in any way match up with any row in Branching Out! I tried to read the pattern, but unfortunately it just couldn’t be done. So for your viewing pain and pleasure I give you pictures before the frogging and pictures after the frogging. In a couple of weeks I hope to give you pictures after blocking! By the way, Rowan Kid Classic DOES NOT frog well

Sorry for the really crappy pictures! But hey, it’s 3 am here.
