Don’t Forget to read I’m Back first!
So continuing on the vacation story. About 3/4 of the way down to the campground it started to storm really really hard. The tents and stuff were on top of the car. When we got there it was pouring, lightning was striking a few yards away, and the wind was so hard the flagpole was bending! We sent inside of the main offices and waited until the rain let up a little. Then the owners told us the campsite they had reserved for us was flooded so they were going to give us a new site.
We drove through the campground (which was HUGE) until we got to our campsite. It was all muddy and wet, but it wasn’t really raining anymore. As it was twilight we really wanted to get set up before it got dark and since we’ve been camping together since I was born we all knew what to do. Once the tent was set up, my dad started to put the stakes in. I still don’t know how he managed it, and I don’t think he could do it again if he tried, but somehow he managed to put a 6 in plastic stake through a 1 1/2 in water pipe! Now we had a geyser spurting up into our tent and all over the site! We called the managers and they came with all sorts of things to fix the pipe. One of them said that he had never ever seen anything like that before. By the time they fixed it it was dark and we set up by headlight.
The next day we realized that I had forgotten my bathing suit! So we had to go out and get one. That ended the crazy adventures. We did get sunburned, but who doesn’t. We also went on a whale and dolphin watch and saw really cute baby dolphins. When dolphins are babies they’re jet black and bee-youtiful.
